Outcrops of quartz veins carrying arsenopyrite and minor gold.

Located approx 4.6 km N of Bad Sankt Leonhard at approx. N47.00409 E14.79636.

Pichler (2003) did not detect any gold in the still accessible adit, but Wiessner (1950) writes that gold had been panned in this area in the 16th century ("Die GebrĆ¼der Johann und Christof Weitmoser wuschen Gold im Teufenbach."; Teufenbach is about 1 km NW of the Goldloch).

The locals call this place ā€œGoldlochā€, meaning gold hole. Nearby is the ā€œGoldbrĆ¼ndlā€ (gold spring), where one can see gold floating in the spring water, but as soon as one puts the hand in, the gold disappears, as the legend says.
