Deposit: According to oral communications from mike brady and peter vikre, anomalous ni and cr values are found in this area. These values are reported to be associated with a mica with the x-ray pattern of sericite. The green encrustations found on chalcedonic veinlets and silica-rich parts of wad and limonite gossan were sampled. The mineralized zone occurs along a N 15 w, 35 s W zone of stoping along an oxidized vein (now gossan). The zone is due north of and on strike with structures mineralized at the adelaide crown mines.
Deposit type: Polymetallic veins
Development: No activity in 1984, however some recent drilling has been done nearby, probably by exxon for precious metals. Shallo W stopes would indicate probable small gold production
Rock formation(s): Preble
Ore(s): N 15 W, 35 Sw Zone
