Trabonella mine is located on the right bank of River Salso, also known as Imera Meridionale, to the east of Contrada Trabonella (in front of Giumentaro mine, located on the left bank of the same river, in Enna province). This mine, active between 1825 and 1988, was one of the two most important sulphur mines of the Caltanissetta mining district.
