A Cu-Mo-Pb-Au prospect with underground workings located in the NE¼SW¼ sec. 36, T23S, R15E (Nogales 15 minute topo map), ½ mile NE of the Buena Vista Mine and about ¼ mile south of Providencia Canyon, on National Forest land. Coronado Mines Inc. had unspecified involvement here (1947).
The deposits apparently occur in a 10 inch wide, iron-stained, banded quartz vein which dips 70ºSE. in coarse quartz monzonite and which as seen in the shaft carries pyrite, chalcopyrite, and bornite, with some malachite and azurite, extending to a depth of 15 feet below the surface.
Workings include a 40 foot shaft and a drift.
