A small mine now mostly obliterated by the aforestation.
The mine was probably known of before the recorded working in 1878-84.
Recorded production:
1022 tons of lead ore.
The main site lies within a bend of the forestry road and is bordered on the downstream side by a footpath that cuts through between the track and a small footbridge. A ruined building may be found right beside the footpath and forestry track with possibly a shaft collar. The ruins of several buildings, a wheel pit and an area of bare, yellow tinted stamps sand are to be found enclosed by the bend in the track, but the undergrowth is very dense. Between the river and the track that forks off upstream is one large shaft collar but no tip. A smaller shaft can be found higher up the slope and that produced just one small sample. A further shaft is indicated further up this valley but time was not available to search for it. June, 2021.
