A former Au-Pb-As-Cu mine located in sec. 7, in the middle sec. 9 & in sec. 8, T20S, R42E, MDM (numerous locations), 4.2 km (2.6 miles) SSW of Lookout City and about 10 miles SE of Panamint Springs (2.5 miles S of Lookout Mountain on the N slope of Snow Canyon). Property consisted of 12 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Corrected coordinates : N36.21392 W117.45795 ; taken at one of the adits by Richard Muster in the year 2011 using an Ashtech MM10 device.

Mineralization is hosted in granitoid rock and andesite. The ore bodies strike N50W & E-W, and dip 70-75SW & 70S, at a thickness of 1.22 meters. There are 2 vein systems, each vein being 2 to 4 feet (0.6 to 1.3 meters) thick. The ore consists of free gold associated with sulfides. One vain, 4 inches (10 cm) to 1 foot (0.3 meter) thick, reportedly carried high values in Au. The ore carries considerable Ag towards the E, where granite comes in contact with limestone. Gold occurred mostly free on the surface while downward toward the water table, it occurred in sulfides. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings. The principal development work has been on the St. George and St. Patrick claims, and also on the California group of claims. A tunnel was driven N20E, at an elevation of 5,500 feet, 282 feet to the vein, then a drift was run on the vein N50W 500 feet. About 45 feet S of these workings, a tunnel was driven N70E along a fault fissure in the granite for 650 feet and then a drift was driven 200 feet N40W. The vein developed in this drift has a width of 3 feet. The St. George shaft was sunk on the vein to a depth of 200 feet, where it connects with a raise from the N tunnel level, at a point 447 feet NW of the crosscut tunnel. About 500 feet NW of the St. George shaft, a tunnel 200 feet in length was driven on the same vein. A tunnel was driven N50W for 180 feet on the California claim. A 50 foot deep winze was sunk 100 feet from the portal of this tunnel. Sketch maps are found in Tucker and Sampson (1938).

Production data are found in: Goodwin (1957); Tucker and Sampson (1938).

Analytical data results: Ore carried about 1.5% Pb and some Cu. Ore mined from the St. George vein carried $15 to $20 a ton Au (period values). Pb was recovered from Au ore produced in 1933.

There are an estimated 700 tons of tailings below the mill which were stated to have an average value of $8/ton of Au (period values).
