A former Fe occurrence/mine located in the EΒ½ sec. 27, T6N, R4E, SBM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) SSW of Iron Ridge (coordinates of record) and 11.8 km (7.4 miles) W of Argos Mountain (coordinates of record), and about 10 miles SSE of Newberry Springs and 16 air miles N of Old Woman Springs. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Mojave Desert and Death Valley area).

The topo map reflects the existence of am open pit mine.
