A former lode Au-Cu mine located 0.9 km (3,000 feet) SE of Pettijohn Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
Mineralization is hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 35NE at a thickness of 0.91 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 130 foot incline, 200 feet of drift, and a 60 foot adit. Additionally, older openings include an incline and several tunnels driven into the hill.
Production data are found in: Brown (1913).
No production record found. The ore was free-milling and high grade. $15,000 of gold extracted from pockets (period values). Some extremely rich samples of gold-bearing calcite were recovered.
