Host Rock: Iron Formation
An iron mine operated by Oliver Iron Mining Co., and later by Hollister Mining Co., during 1889 through 1914. 143,117 tons of ore were shipped. This mine worked the middle-Precambrian Amasa Iron-formation of the Baraga Group. The property description is W1/2-SW Sec. 13 T43N-R32W, which is the 80 acres between N46ΒΊ6'57", N46ΒΊ7'24", W88ΒΊ15'28", and W88ΒΊ15'48".
