My wife and I are mineral collectors, but we also collect rocks, meteorites and granulated such as sand. We have no academic formation in geology or mineralogy, but we are trying to study to be able to improve our collections and know our planet. We always seek to acquire specimens from reliable sources and, when very rare, only consider them as valid specimen after verification of mineralogy experts or specialists in the specific area of study for the specimen, as paleontologists.
Our collections follow some thematic lines, such as minerals of brazilian type localities, rare minerals, native elements, well crystallized specimens, microminerals, minerals with specific elements in the composition such as Nb, Y and others.
