The most important Zn-Pb-Ag orebody belonging to the Nakatatsu mine. Also minor producer of Cd and W. Cretaceous pyrometasomatic (skarn) in folded Permian limestone. Skarn is Mn-rich, even though host limestone contains only 0.06 to 0.08% MnO.
1958 production: 7,923 t Zn, 1,150 t Pb, 6,947 Kg Ag, from ore averaging 5.2% Zn, 0.8% Pb. (These figures may include some production from the related Senno (qv) and Hitotaka deposits.)
