This zinc mine worked from 1907 to about 1912. Ore was mostly in veins and disseminations in the Ordovician carbonate rocks of the Decorah Formation. Some drilling was done detecting mineralization as far down as the Ordovician Prairie du Chien Group and Cambrian Jordan Formation.
