Zeolites are found in black, fine-grained, vesicular, Miocene, rounded, boulders of basalt on Short Beach, the first beach south of Cape Meares. Clinoptilolite, mordenite, and calcite are found in the boulders near the middle of the beach while erionite, chabazite, and others are rarely found at the south end of the beach. Located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 13, R11W, T1S.
