Name(s) in local language(s):
Einberg, Seydegg, Abtenau, Salzburg, Γsterreich
Outcrops of metapelitic rocks, disseminated by narrow clefts and containing numerous rhombohedral cavities to 1 cm across left by dissolved carbonates. Dark blue crossite crystals, sometimes forming star-shaped aggregates, are abundant here. Fibrous crossite and magnesioriebeckite can be included in quartz crystals, giving them a dark blue colour.
Located on Einberg mountain, 2 km NW of Seydegg and about 6 km NNE of Abtenau.
Often called "Webing" by collectors.
