Ancient copper-silver mining area; main activity in the 16th and 17th century. Located SW of Fieberbrunn.
About 600 shafts are known. One of them, the Heiliggeist shaft ('Heiliggeistschacht') reached, in 1618, a depth of 504 'Klafter' (= 886 m).
