Structure: A Major E-W Fold Or Fault Trends Across The Northern Portion Of The Claim Group

Alteration: Leaching, Fe-Staining

Tectonics: Basin And Range

Deposit: Both the excelsior formation and the quartz monzonite are altered and mineralized fractures are coated with chrysocolla, copper oxides and turquoise claims cover an area of 6 sq. Mi. The group consists of 182 unpatented claims. ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Development: Annual labors have been performed through august 1, 1964

Geology: The claims lie within a seemingly e- W belt of disseminated cu-m prospects that to the north of tonopah. At the pilot claims, three major rock groups crop out: the triassic excelsior formation, Jurassic or cretaceous quartz monzonite, and and a volcanic and hypahyssal complex of tertiary age. The excelsior quartzite is bleached, brecciated and iron-stained near the contact with quartz monzonite.

Rock formation(s): Excelsior Formation
