A basalt quarry.
Located on Hochberg (Hohenberg) hill near Nieder-Ofleiden, 2.5 km NW of Homberg and about 17 km SE of Marburg.

Known since before 1800 for its ilmenite ("Ertz") rich rock.
Also known for chabazite and phillipsite at least since 1904.
