Abandoned brucite marble quarry along the road to Buole Pass, at an altitude of about 1450 m, in the upper valley of Rio San Valentino.
This brucite marble, commercially known as pearl grey marble, is the product of contact metamorphism, originated from Cenozoic basaltic intrusions in Late Triassic dolostone (Dolomia Principale Formation).
