Name:
Named in honor of Giorgio Corallo (13 August 1937, Genoa, Italy - ), an Italian amateur mineral collector, who first found several new minerals in Liguria, including cassagnaite, gravegliaite, and reppiaite.
Structurally related to the Arthurite Group, bermanite (chemically the phosphate analogue of coralloite) and ercitite.
