The site has been used for landfill and apart from the 2 engine houses has been completely sterilised. April 2023.

This mine was eventually incorporated into the Basset group of mines.

An engine house stands at Smith's Shaft (SW672391) and another at Daubuz Shaft.

From this point on down the Red River, which flows past Dolcoath and out to the sea at Godrevy a great many tin streaming works were run successfully of the waste that escaped from the mines along its course. In fact, looking at the ordnance survey maps of the 1880s shows that almost every yard of the river between West Wheal Frances and Bell Lake Marsh several miles downstream of Dolcoath was one stream works after another. In his book Tin Mining and Smelting in Cornwall, D.B. Barton notes that the stream works were mostly far more profitable than the mines as they had none of the deep mining and ore stamping costs.
