Victor Mine, NBMG Sample Site 2832
East of Electric mine
Structure: Post-Mineral Fault
Deposit: Developed by several mclined shafts, trenches, pits, an adit, and short drifts. The upper levels are in granodirite but in depth the vein enters the hornfels with results unfavorable to the quality and quantity of the ore. ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept; 3 field observ the veid is 6 to 24 inches wide and is similar to the veins at the electric mine. Sample 2832 was taken of highly brecciated and oxidized vein material from open stopes and prospects. Much of the ore is stained with a yellow oxide thought to be bindheimite
Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein
Development: District produced sporadically from 1860's to 1951
Geology: Vein is 6 to 24 inches wide and is similar to the veins at eht electric mine.
