A small open-pit iron mine and prospect pits lying in an isolated patch of iron-formation within the Michigamme Lower Slate near Alberta, Michigan. Small prospect pits to the west and north of the main pit seem to produce the best specimens. Pyrolusite and manganite specimens from this mine are noteworthy.
