The deposit was claimed in ca. 1900 and some exploration work was done by a Swedish company. There has been done some prospecting at two places, the largest measuring 6x6x6m3, with a dump of 60m3. The ore is considered to be of low quality. The largest prospect is clearly visible on the LIDAR map, while there might possibly be another at 68.88328,14.97872.
