Old, abandoned quarry located about 100 meters S from the last, western buildings of the village of Stachów, partly littered, with small seasonal ponds on the bottom. Gneisses that belong to the Stachów complex, arose from transformation and deformation of granitoids about 500 million years ago.
Part of the geological unit defined as the Strzelin Massif.
Gneisses are made of quartz, K-feldspar and plagioclase, also biotite. Garnets and muscovite appear in small amounts.
