"(Coming from Beaumont). South of Royat, follow the D5 and the N141C after Ceyrat. In the region of the locality [there is] baryte and hexagonal ettringite (calcium and aluminium sulphate) crystals." [Belot, 1978]

Long abandoned quarry at the crossing of RN 89 and N 141 c roads. Other samples have been found above the quarry during housing construction. Part of a private property and now inaccessible. Oligocene marls and arkoses thermally metamorphosed by trachy-basalt lava flow of Puy de Gravenoire volcano.
