A former Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag mine located in sec. 21 (& sec. 29 ?), T20N, R5E, SBM, 8.4 km (5.2 miles) SSW of Ibex Peak (Ibex Hills) and 15.4 km (9.6 miles) NW of Jubilee Mountain (coordinates of record) and 8.4 km (5.2 miles) SSW of Ibex Peak (coordinates of record) (Ibex Hills), at the base of the Black Mountains, 6 miles N of Saratoga Springs, near the San Bernardino County line, on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

NOTE: Despite its name as the "Ibex Mine" it is not located in the Ibex Hills to the E; rather, it is located in the Black Mountains, just to the W.

NOTE: Earlier references place this mine in San Bernardino County; however, the latitude value presented in the USGS MRDS clearly places this mine N of the southern boundary of Inyo County. Later references place it appropriately in Inyo County. The topo map clearly reflects its presence in Inyo County.

Mineralization is hosted in dolomite. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Death Valley).

Workings include unspecified underground openings. The topo map reflects a total of 3 shafts and 3 adits.
