The Kotaki River (Kotaki Gawa, Japanese: 小滝川) is a river in Japan. It is located in the prefecture of Niigata, in the central part of the country, 210 km northwest of Tokyo, the capital of the country.

Boulders of very tough jadeitite, rodingite, albitite, etc., in a river draining high-pressure metamorphic rocks of the Renge Belt. Protected natural monument areaCollecting jade in the cliffs, and some portions of the river, is prohibited.
