Has produced well formed ilmenorutile crystals but none have yet been seen as mineral specimens. Globe Hill itself is west south-west from the Nanutarra Roadhouse. The mine location is unclear. Government geologist, E.S. Simpson earlier in the Twentieth Century stated it was an albite pegmatite, the location was 2.41 kilometres from the former Globe Hill Station homestead on the south side of the Ashburton River. Around 1931, a prospector discovered alluvial cassiterite, which was traced to a pegmatite outcrop near Globe Hill. The pegmatite contains crystal forms of ilmenorutile and cassiterite. Eulytite was found as one centimetre gray masses.
