Ref.: Eckel, Edwin B. (1997), Minerals of Colorado, updated & revised: 16. Located on East Rifle Creek about 13 mi northeast of Rifle; access is by state highway 13 for 3 mi north of Rifle, then northeast on state highway 325 past the Rifle Gap Reservoir. On the West side of East Rifle Creek in SW ΒΌ sec. 34 and SE ΒΌ sec. 33, T. 4 S., R. 92 W.
