A Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 4, T33N, R2W, MDM, 0.3 km (1,100 feet) ESE of Sugarloaf (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a replacement vein deposit, hosted in rhyolite. Ore controls included a contact zone. This prospect is on a contact between the Bully Hill Rhyolite and the Pit Formation. Local rocks include Triassic marine rocks, unit 2 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 327.66 meters and an overall depth of 48.77 meters. Operations include adits. The upper adit is 250 feet in length and the lower adit is 800 feet in length. Two feet of ore was located in the last 25 to 30 feet of the lower adit.
