The deposit was explored for radioactive minerals in 1955 by Kenmac Chibougamau Mines Limited. The exploration consisted of several trenches, the largest measuring 26 m long and 9 m wide, and and 84-m adit drived under this trench. These openings are at the west end of a clearing and on the north side of a ridge. Another trench, 17 m long is 51 m east of the adit."
