City on the Gogebic Iron Range. The Wisconsin Visitor Center on the north edge of town, has displays on the area's mining history, as well as some typical mineral specimens from the mines. Portions of of 5.5 foot diameter drill core, taken at the nearby Cary Mine to a depth of 2.500 feet, can be seen in the parking area around the center.
