Old workings located between 1965 and 2000 m a.s.l. on the western slope of Serra Chiapous, in a steep gully known in the local Occitan dialect as Coumbal de la Valencho Guerso (i.e., Gully of the Crooked Avalanche).
The workings consist of three adits drifted along the N-S strike of a galena-bearing quartz vein embedded in gneiss:
the upper adit is located at 2000 m a.s.l.;
the intermediate one (probably corresponding to the Borriman adit) at 1990 m a.s.l.;
the lower downward adit, in which a sub-parallel galena veinlet and the remnants of the main cerussite-rich main vein are still obersevable in the roof, at 1965 m a.s.l.
These adits, probably dug in the second half of the 19th century, were described by Roccati (1925), whilst they are only briefly mentioned by Jervis (1873) as a formerly state-owned lead mine in the Aisone mountains.
