Arcu Genna Arrela is a hill pass (83 m a.s.l.) in proximity of the 75 km post of State Road SS 125.
The area around the pass is well-known for the presence of gypsum (crystals up to 10 cm in length), variscite, calcioferrite, jarosite, and carbonate-rich apatite in the outcropping Silurian shales.
Some prospect workings for iron ore (limonite) were dug in this area at the end of the 19th century. In 1902 some trenches and pits were excavated on a small sulphide-bearing quartz vein located west of the 76 km post of State Road SS 125. Other workings were dug in the period 1923-1930 on a pyrite-bearing vein at Punta Betulleri and between 1938 and 1940 on a small galena-bearing vein just to the south of Baccu Gennerepau.
