The site of Wheal Florence lies mainly to the north-east of Florence Road and is now a camping site.
Surviving fragments of the engine house appear to have been incorporated into the structure of the aptly named Engine House Cafe.
The mine produced tin, arsenic ore, pyrite, copper ore and a small quantity of lead ore and 899 oz of silver.
Whilst some small dumps appear to survive on part of the sett, these are on private ground and may not be accessible for collecting.
Re-prospected for wolfram in 1942-3.
