In syenite pegmatite.

Shipments of corundum were made to the mill at Palmer Rapids from a pit on a hillside on the southwest corner of lot 34, concession V, Brudenell township, on the farm of Richard Gutz. The pit is 200 feet east of the Rosenthal-Rockingham road and 800 feet north of the south boundary of the lot.

This occurrence was noted by Miller, who reports that "about 2-1/2 tons of the corundum-bearing rock were shipped to the laboratory of the Kingston School of Mining for a mill test".(ARV53)

(the owner of the property allows amateur mineral collecting, it is 10$ per person as of October 2022, Jacob Stanaszek)
