Three small metabasite bodies occur on the slope of Punta Brusà - Gran Cima, in the area between Rio del Vallonet and Rio della Pissa. Some serpentinite bodies also occur in this area.
Large boulders of metabasite and serpentinite, originated from the mentioned bodies, are found near the dirt road leading to Argentera, particularly in an area ca. 50 m long between the road and the course of Ripa stream. The metabasite boulders present in this place were heavily worked in the 1980s by mineral collectors, due to the presence of good crystals of hematite (iron roses up to 3.5 cm across) and albite (crystals up to 3 cm).
