These group of gneiss quarries, on the right side Antigorio Valley, includes the quarries named Rencio Castello, Rencio Molinetto, and Rencio Superiore.

The first find of babingtonite from gneiss fissures in Italy has been reported from Rencio Castello quarry (Gentile, 1985).

Roggiani (1975), who considered β€œclinoptilolite” a sodic variety of heulandite, reported its presence at the Rencio quarries by mentioning specimens of the Giuseppe Scaini collection. Analyses on these specimens, in order to ascertain their real nature, and on β€œheulandite” from the same locality, in order to determine the sodium content, would be welcome (Piccoli et al., 2007).
