This intragranite pegmatite body is located in the central part of the Belye Tundry pluton, approximatively 2.5 km to the north of Belaya Tundra mountain.

The retained exposed area of pegmatite is elongated in longitudinal direction and measures 2.5 x 5.5 m in size. This pegmatite body has been named Zirkonovoe because of zircon, which reaches 30% vol. in the pegmatite core, and is therefore a rock-forming mineral. It is characterised by the presence of a large array of minerals, including minerals of yttrium-rare earth elements, rare metals, and chalcophile elements.

Minerals of the gadolinite-(Y)–hingganite-(Y) series occur both in the zone of secondary Y-REE mineralisation, in an almost monomineralic quartz zone, and in the astrophyllite-enriched zone. These minerals appear as thick tabular, prismatic crystals and xenomorphic grains up to 5 mm in size; their colour is dark brown to black with grey, greenish, or yellowish hues. Crystals and grains are occasionally coated with loose rusty crusts consisting of iron oxide-hydroxides (Lyalina et al., 2014).
