Ref.: Bull. Minéral. , 1987, 110, pp. 145-156.

U-V tabular deposits hosted in the Salt-Wash Member of the Jurassic Morrison Formation (fluviatile sandstones, siltstones and mudstones), east side of the Comb Monocline.
Elogate mineralized clusters (10X10X1 meters) in sandstones along a paleo-channel system.

U originated from the devitrification of volcanic ashes (Brushy Member Basin). U was transported by oxidizing solutions that lost their oxygen by reaction with organic matter (coalification) and Fe2+ minerals, before reaching ore deposition zones.
U and V precipitated in reduced organic-rich zones.
V was probabely released during early diagenetic alteration of Fe-Ti oxide phases by organics and H2S.
