Mine de la Rouvière

Ancient Pb-Zn mine located on the north side of the Chassezac river and situated on the same vein as Les Essarts Mine. This deposit (long quartz and baryte vein with sulphides hosted in a granite) was operated from 1887 until 1945 by the Sociedad Minero-Metalúrgica de Peñarroya. Today, all adits are closed by concrete walls but some dumps remain along the vein.
