In granite pegmatite cutting amphibolite and diorite. The ore minerals were primarily uraninite and uranothorite.

"The deposit was discovered in 1955 and was a uranium producer from 1957 to 1959; the total yield was valued at $834,899. Greyhawk Uranium Mines, Limited worked the deposit and the ore was treated at the Faraday mill. in 1975, the property was aquired by Madawaska Mines Limited."

"Mining operations on the Faraday township claims began late in 1955. A vertical, three-compartment shaft was collared to a depth of 34 feet on the north half of lot 10, concession XII. Diamond-drilling consisted of 127 holes, totalling 33,827 feet, from surface.
