Defunct gold-silver-pyrite mine. Originally an old gold mine working surficial quartz veins. In the 1950s became an underground pyrite mine (for sulphuric acid production), working massive fine-grained pyrite veins hosted in sandstone, the Matsunokita-hi vein (30cm to 2m wide) and the Matsunominami-hi vein (20 to 60cm wide). Pyrite production 3,000 tons in 1957.
