Name:
The name is in honour of Lachlan M.D. Cranswick (29 Sep 1968 Victoria, Australia - 18 Jan 2010 Deep River, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada) who helped to develop and maintain the Collaborative Computational Project No. 14 in Powder and Small Molecule Single Crystal Diffraction (CCP14).
