Named in honor of Stanislav Konstantinovich Filatov (Станислав Константинович Филатов) (6 August 1940 - ) Professor, Department of Crystallography, St. Petersburg State University, St Petersburg, Russia, for his contributions to high temperature crystal chemistry and crystal chemistry of exhalation minerals. He has authored/coauthored descriptions of about 40 new minerals.
