Large granite batholith, 140 square miles (362.5kmΒ²) in size, located about 65 miles (105 km) NE of Boise. It covers Boise, Custer, and Elmore counties.

Known for miarolitic cavities.

Minerals occur in miarolitic cavities in the Sawtooth Batholith.

Anorogenic Tertiary (38-50 Ma) granite pluton.
