A small sulfide-bearing quartz vein exposed along a steep brook. Probably last worked in the 1860s when nickel was suddenly in demand by the U. S. Mint and prospecting went on in many locations that have no Ni mineralogy. Most of the sulfides are pyrite and arsenopyrite, with scant if any nickel minerals. Contrary to the mindat exploitable mineral algorithm, nickel was and is not an exploitable commodity here. Many minerals listed by Januzzi lack verification, either physically or analytically and so are listed here as unconfirmed.
