The Tibesti Volcanics Province cover an area of some 30000 kmΒ² of volcanic rocks. The volcanics form the highest peaks, of which Emi Koussi rises to 3415 m, but the sub-volcanic basement reaches an elevation of 2000 metres.

Age: Early Tertiary to Recent.

The Tibesti Volcanic Province is part of the larger Tibesti massif which extends into southern Libya and covers an area of some 100,000 kmΒ² of Precambrian Paleozoic and Cretaceous rocks.
