Osterberg Revier, Gernrode, Harz, Sachsen-Anhalt, Deutschland
The Osterberg district of Gernrode is one of the oldest in the lower Harz mountains. It is located to both sides of the Ostergrund valley southern of the Osterteich pond, eastern the Osterberg hill and western the Ungerberg hill. A lot of mines were working for silver and lead. Last tries of mining are dated back to the early 20th century. The minerilazation is similiar to the Neudorf district except Wolframite but including antimon bearing minerals which are uncommon at the area of the northern edge of the Harz.
