Jedová hora (Dědova hora) u Neřežína
Abandoned sedimentary Fe-Hg deposit in Ordovician volcano-sedimentary rocks of the Barrandian. Iron and mercury mines worked from 14th century to 1857, then for the last time shortly during 1917. Old mines and pits are currently on the border of a military area on the side of Jedova hill (Poisonous hill) above the village of Neřežín.
Iron ores are developed in two stratiform bodies composed of siderite and hematite. Bodies are intersected by the system of vertical fissures with hydrothermal mineralization (quartz, siderite, ankerite, pyrite, cinnabar and baryte).
